When I was writing “In Love”, I fell in love with… Digital Harinezumi Camera. Creating warm, dreamy and surprising videos, the tiny Harinezumi (about the size of a 110 film camera) by Superheadz was inspired by the Super 8mm silent film of the ’60s and ’70s. After completing the song’s recording, I started testing this amazing “toy camera”. Shooting everything, from nature, forest, waterfall, grass and sky, to urban landscapes, I was amazed by the saturated colors and I realized that Zumi is quite unique: forget high resolution and perfection, this digital cam brings back some of the imperfect fascination of old pictures and films. Digital Harinezumi does not take sharp, crisp images but dream-like, slightly blurred focus and inaccurate colours re-inventing what is around us.
