Glow Dance

I grew up in the 80’s, and I really dig 80’s electronic music from Electro Pop to Italo disco. I love the sounds of that era: Linn, Oberheim and TR-808 drum machines, Roland Juno, Fairlight and Yamaha DX synthesizers.
So I guess, my influences are obvious in this track. :)

Dig this picture: A man and a woman are slow dancing and everything is glowing around them. Now…listen to the music. You can get the track (and all of my music) for free at http://iammanolis.com/music. Feel free to use it on your videos or podcasts, it’s released under a Creative Commons Licence. Thank you for checkin’ it out!

People making money with my music behind my back. Great…

So I have to say that once again: My music IS Creative Commons Licensed FREE and you can get it on Jamendo and my website. Anyone who’s trying to sell my music is a fraud!

I don’t mind if someone gets my music through torrent websites or whatever (as long it’s FREE), but it’s really, REALLY annoying to find out that someone is selling your music and trying to make a profit out of you…

I’m So Happy! My track “In Love” is the most popular track on Jamendo with more than 60.000 downloads!!! Get it for free here

Propellerhead Figure Demo track on iPhone 4

A quick track I’ve made using the amazing Propellerhead Figure on iPhone 4. Here is the result with a little bit of tweaking.
Got three minutes and want to make some music? Figure is the fun music-making app for instant inspiration. Figure highlights: Make songs with Drums, Bass and Lead Synth, Play by sliding your finger across the play pad, Always stay in key and on the beat, No previous playing skills required, Tweak and twist your track on the fly.
The sound of Reason on your phone!
Swedish firm Propellerhead Software is one of the key companies in the history of electronic music-making, having been responsible for software like ReBirth — which emulated Roland’s famous 303 synthesizer and 808 and 909 drum machines — and studio package Reason.
Now it’s making apps. Starting with an iOS version of ReBirth in May 2010, and now with an entirely new app called Figure.
Propellerhead’s Figure music app is awesome, easy to use and cheap. And since Reason is the one and only software I use for my music, I was more than happy when Figure (Powered by Reason) came out. It’s a Reason for mobile phone!
